Refund policy

Hey everyone, Travers here.

I understand that seeing pictures of glass art on the internet is not the same as seeing it in person. On the whole, I've gotten the feedback that these items look even better in person, but if you are not 100% satisfied with your purchase, I am happy to issue a return for 95% of the purchase price of the item.

I have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return. In most cases you will need to cover shipping when returning you tree.

Before returning your tree, I recommend sitting the tree near a window or some other light source that may change a bit throughout the day. Set it somewhere where it can be viewed from multiple distances. You might be surprised to find that a slight change in lighting or viewing distance can really bring the tree to life. Just like real trees they are designed to catch light and shadow in the leaves and will change appearance a bit throughout the day if near a changing light source. Let it sit for a day or two and see if it surprises you. If you are still unsatisfied, no problem. Sorry, I had to at least try to convince you to reconsider sending your tree back.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, undamaged, and returned to its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. 

You cover shipping if you choose to return the item. Woodlander Glass is not responsible for shipping fees for returns if you receive an item that you do not like. This includes but is not limited to if the item has small bubbles, wavy lines in the clear, colors that are slightly different than you expected, unexpected textures, a different size than you expected, or shapes that you do not like. Some of these factors can change quite a bit depending on lighting, viewing distance, or viewing angle, so play around with different lighting and angles when you set the tree out for display. Some of these factors like bubbles and wavy lines in the clear are inherent to the technique used for making the trees and cannot be avoided completely. While I strive for quality in my work, no tree is perfect. The original sales price is already adjusted if there are excessive bubbles or other noticeable imperfections compared to what can normally be expected. These factors are therefore not considered defects warranting compensation for return shipping.

If your return is accepted, I’ll send you information about how and where to send your package. You will have two weeks to ship your item after the return has been accepted.  Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged, chipped, cracked, or if you receive the wrong item, so that I can evaluate the issue and make it right. 


Exceptions / non-returnable items
Some items may be sold as is, and will not be eligible for refund. These items will be clearly marked. 


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.


Refunds
Refunds will only be issued after the item is received in acceptable condition. You are responsible for ensuring the item will not be damaged during return shipping. We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
